THE PDC AT NIGHT
An agency asked me to document neighborhoods in Beverly Hills and Hollywood for their client's promotional materials. Part of the assignment was to get a photograph or two of the Pacific Design Center, a 14-acre César Pelli-designed complex comprising 1,600,000 square feet over three buildings.
I'd spent a lot of time at the PDC over the years, but had never photographed it and had not recognized how completely different it looked at night, and, how dramatic. The things you miss in your own town.
I became a little obsessed with the place for a bit, went far beyond the assignment's requirements, and these images are the result.
